All carers with Rise and Shine Care, are provided with full and ongoing training and supervision covering all aspects of domiciliary home care. Rise and Shine Care carers at all levels undergo a comprehensive 12 week induction course covering the essential areas listed below:-

q       Health and safety training

q       General health of service users and the role of care and support staff in monitoring their health on an on-going basis

q       Anti-discriminatory practice including cultural awareness

q       Confidentiality

q       Principal activities which must not be undertaken

q       Quality assurance and monitoring

 

Following the induction each and every carer is shadowed by an experienced team member until Rise and Shine Care are 100% satisfied with the level of care provided and that each member of staff is happy and comfortable in their work.

 

Ongoing domiciliary home care training is provided to meet and exceed guidelines as set out by The Domiciliary Care Agency and the Care Quality Commission. Rise and Shine Care actively encourage and support all staff in the pursuit of NVQ qualifications levels 2,3 and 4
